Work to be Completed on Townsend Village Ponds
Date Posted: Friday, July 14th, 2023Please be advised that the Town has been informed that work will begin on the ponds in Townsend Village, beginning Monday, 7/17/2023 for approximately 4 weeks. This work is being done to convert the pond to it’s permanent configuration, following construction being complete in the community. The pond will be drained with a drain that has been opened on the back of the pump and a gas-powered pump. Excavators will be working in the bottom of the pond and along its sides. Silty dirt will be loaded in trucks and removed; and fill dirt will be trucked in to rebuild the sides of the pond.
The plan and schedule is very weather dependent, the Developer requests our residents to please bear with them as it has been a very wet season so far. They are hoping to complete the work in a timely manner depending on the weather.
