There is currently another phone scam where the caller pretends to be a police officer from NCCPD and is asking you to pay your legal fines via gift cards. Be advised, police will never ask you to pay a fine over the phone or with a gift card!
Help Wanted – Part-Time Seasonal Worker
PART TIME SEASONAL MUNICIPAL WORKER
The Town of Townsend is seeking applicants for the position of a part-time seasonal Municipal Worker.
This position would work between 10-20 hours per week from July 2017 thru October 2017. Work schedule TBD based on needs of the business. Hours are not guaranteed.
Position involves a variety of physical tasks and assignments in the Municipal Park, Town Hall, and throughout the Town.
Requirements:
- Must have valid driver’s license; be at least 18 years old; lift 55 lbs. without assistance.
- Must be able to work under conditions exposed to heat, rain, sun, humidity, pollen, and other environmental allergens.
- Selected applicants must pass a background check and drug screen prior to their start date.
- Must be able to operate a variety of maintenance equipment
Examples of work may include:
Performs general custodial and cleaning duties
Performs routine, entry-level maintenance work
Picks up trash and empties cans in park
Operates a weed-eater and trimmer
Basic landscaping, including mowing &trimming
