The Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) is hosting a memorial to remember and honor the lives lost to COVID-19 in cities and towns across the country on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. EST.

A Washington, D.C. ceremony will feature a lighting around the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool; it will be the first-ever lighting around the Reflecting Pool to memorialize American lives lost.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee is inviting cities, towns, and homes across the country to join Washington, D.C. in illuminating buildings and ringing church bells at 5:30 p.m. EST in a national moment of unity and remembrance.

There are many ways to participate – you can get involved by:

  • Ringing bells
  • Lighting a candle in your window to join in the countrywide moment of remembrance.

The Town of Townsend will participate in remembering and honoring the lives lost to COVID-19 by illuminating Town Hall on Tuesday, January 19th, 2020.
