Statement from Chesapeake Utilities Corporation:
Date Posted: Friday, June 10th, 2022Beginning June 13, crews will perform work on behalf of Chesapeake Utilities Corporation in Townsend. The crews are working to extend natural gas pipeline to improve natural gas infrastructure for the community. Temporary lane closures may occur. Crews are expected to complete work at the beginning of August, pending unforeseen delays due to weather conditions.
We regret any temporary inconveniences you may experience during construction. While every effort will be made to provide continuous automobile and pedestrian traffic while the work is being completed, please be aware of any temporary parking restrictions, road/sidewalk closures or detours that may be posted.
The safety of community members and workers is a priority. Please be aware of any safety signage, barriers, equipment and workers so that we can maintain a safe and secure working zone.
