The Town of Townsend invites you and your family to join is for our Back to School and Community Night Out Event from 6-9 pm on Thursday, August 25th, 2022, at the Townsend Park located at 0 Edgar Rd, Townsend, DE 19734!
Free School supplies will be distributed until supplies last.
Static Displays and Youth Engagement Opportunities!
Presentations include:
- Town of Townsend Police Department Safety Presentation at 6:15 pm
- Town of Middletown Police Department K9Demonstrations at 6:45 pm
- Science Experiments with Dr. Mertz at 7:15 pm
- A Flashlight walk at 8:15 pm

Town of Townsend 2022 Town Fair & Parade Cancellation
The Town of Townsend would like to announce the cancellation of the 2022 Town Fair and Parade. The Town is working on creating a bigger and better event for 2023 in addition to many other upcoming Town sponsored activities. Stay tuned for details on the 2023 Town Fair and other future Town events! We hope to see everyone at our upcoming Back to School/ Night Out event at the Townsend Municipal Park on August 25!
