Please be advised that Commerce Street traveling both northbound and southbound is closed due to downed power and cable wires in the area, by Delmarva Power.

TRAFFICE ALERT REMINDER: New Castle County – Blackbird Landing Road to Close at the Bridge Over Blackbird Creek for 75 Days Starting Monday, August 21st
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces to motorists that Blackbird Landing Road will close at the bridge over Blackbird Creek for 75 days, beginning today, Monday, August 21st. Detours will be posted. The road is scheduled to reopen toward the end of October.
Motorists should use caution and expect minor delays in the area.

Sinkhole Repair Notice 08/21/2023 through 08/25/2023
NOTICE TO RESIDENTS
The purpose of this notice is to advise you that STANDARD PIPE SERVICES was contracted by the Town of Townsend to perform repairs on various sinkholes in the area of your property. The rehabilitation work is scheduled to be performed on: 08/21/2023 through 08/25/2023. Access to your home is not required and it’s not required for anyone to be home during the work.
All clean up and restoration will be done AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Questions, problems or interest in our process should be directed to a STANDARD PIPE SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE.
