PUBLIC NOTICE: Ordinance Updates

During the March 6th, regular  Town Council meeting the Townsend Code Review Committee presented and introduced the following ordinances: 

• Ordinance 2024-005 An Ordinance to Amend the Townsend Municipal Code Regarding Utilities
• Ordinance 2024-006 An Ordinance to amend the Town Code regarding Animals
• Ordinance 2024-007 An Ordinance to amend the Town Code regarding abandoned vehicles

Please be advised, the Town Council will be performing a second reading with a possible vote on the above listed ordinances during the regular Town Council meeting, April 3rd, 2024. Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting to make public comment. Each in person attendee and virtual Zoom attendee will have the opportunity to speak for three (3) minutes. Each Zoom attendees should alert staff that they wish to speak at the appropriate time by submitting their name and address via the Zoom chat function during the meeting. Comments may also be sent via email to townhall@townsend.delaware.gov prior to the meeting. Emailed comments will be read into the record during the meeting.
