There is still uncertainty about the path and impacts of TS Debby. Heavy rain is expected today through Friday.
Winds will increase on Friday, but are not expected to exceed 30 mph.
Debby will move inland tonight or Thursday. The magnitude of our local impacts Friday and Friday night are highly
dependent on the exact forecast track, which remains somewhat uncertain at this point.
There is a potential of Severe Isolated Thunderstorms Friday with a primary concern being tornadoes.
The risk of flash flooding remains elevated in Northern Delaware through Friday night. River flooding may be possible through the weekend.
Townsend PD will continue to post updates as issued by DEMA or the U.S. National Weather Service (NWS). We encourage our citizens to monitor their local news and radio for the quickest notifications.
