Town of Townsend Welcomes Chief McCloskey with Oath of Office Ceremony

The Town of Townsend is proud to announce the official swearing-in of Chief McCloskey as Chief of Police. During a recent ceremony held at Townsend Town Hall, Chief McCloskey took the Oath of Office, affirming his commitment to serve and protect the residents, businesses, and visitors of our community.

The Oath of Office marks an important milestone in Chief McCloskey’s leadership of the Townsend Police Department. As Chief, he will continue to uphold the department’s mission of providing professional, community-focused law enforcement services while fostering strong relationships with the public.

Town officials, members of the Townsend Police Department, family, friends, and community members gathered to celebrate this occasion and recognize Chief McCloskey’s dedication to public service.
