Halloween is Here. Be Safe and Stay Healthy!

The Town of Townsend wants everyone to have a safe and fun Halloween.  Halloween is celebrated on Tuesday, October 31^st.  Per Town Council, for the safety of all, trick or treating will be held between the hours of 6 pm and 8 pm for all those wishing to participate.  All trick-or-treaters in costume should be off of the streets by 9 p.m. 

As always, trick-or-treating will be held based on each individual resident’s/family’s preference.

If you would like to give out candy to trick-or-treaters, turn on your porch light. Those wishing not to participate, please turn off your porch light.

Please treat your neighbors with respect and remember safety rules by following these general Halloween guidelines:

• Only visit houses whose porch/front lights are on. 
• Wear reflectors, reflective clothing and carry a flashlight for safety.
• If driving, please drive slower and be attentive to increased foot traffic. 
• Be respectful of Halloween displays and yards.
