Global War on Terror Memorial- Eagle Scout Project
Logan Ament an Eagle Scout with Boy Scout Troop 204 Odessa, Delaware has shared his Eagle Scout Project with Townsend Town Council. The mission of this service project is to construct a memorial at VFW Post 3 792 in Townsend, Delaware. The memorial will honor those who served in the Global War on Terror. The design will consist of three parts: a monument, small flower bed, and a walkway. By purchasing an engraved brick, you are investing in honoring those who served as well as assisting with an Eagle Scout Service Project. By purchasing a brick, you will be honoring the men and women that served in the Global War on Terror.

NOTICE: Daytime Road Closure- South Street- October 18th & 19th, 2022
On Tuesday October 18, 2022 & Wednesday October 19, 2022 South Street will be closed from the Townsend Police Station to Commerce Street for sewer line work related to The Woods at Hidden Creek, beginning at 8am until the work is completed for each that day, at which time the roadway will be reopened.
Two-way traffic will be permitted during work hours ONLY between the Police Department and Lattomus Street.
Drivers and pedestrians are asked to be extra cautious when two-way traffic patterns are in effect.

Trash and Recycling will be picked up as scheduled. There will be no yard waste collection.

The Town of Townsend and the Diamond State Pickleball Club will be hosting a Pickleball Workshop on Monday, September 19th, 2022 5:00 pm- 7:00 pm. The event will be held at the Townsend Municipal Park located at 0 Edgar Rd., Townsend. DE 19734.
