How to Qualify
1. Must be a Delmarva Power residential electric customer (Homeowner or Renter).
2. Must have a refrigerator manufactured before December 2013.
To verify manufacturer’s date, go to: http://www.appliance411.com/service/date-code.php
3. Your old refrigerator must be removed by HFH upon delivery of your new refrigerator.
4. Your annual household income must not exceed 60% Area Median Income. (See table in application on reverse.)
How to Apply
1. Visit our website www.habitatncc.org/refrigerator-replacement-program. Download and print application.
2. Mail or email your completed application and required documentation to:

What to Expect
1. Habitat for Humanity will contact you directly and explain the process.
2. $50 cash or money order will need to be paid prior to refrigerator replacement.
3. Habitat for Humanity will deliver your new Energy Star refrigerator and remove your old refrigerator.
Your new refrigerator will be a full-sized, ENERGY STAR qualified refrigerator with the freezer on top. All of our Energy Star refrigerators are frost free and include: • refrigerator shelves • refrigerator door shelves • 1 freezer shelf • 2 freezer door bins • 1 year limited manufacturer’s warranty

• One refrigerator per address and Delmarva Power account
• All doorways, hallways, pathways should be cleared & big enough for easy transport so refrigerator can be placed without disassembly
• Supplies are limited • Available on a first-come, first-served basis
• Program may be terminated at any time

Townsend Town Meetings to Temporarily Return to Virtual Format & Town Hall to be Closed to the Public
With increases in the positivity rate and number of new positive cases in and around the Town, Town Council will be returning to a virtual meeting on May 4th, 2022 at 6:30 PM.
In addition, Town Hall will be closed to the public. Staff will be available via telephone and email. Individuals who have payments or other items to drop off at Town Hall are asked to mail materials to Town Hall or use use the dropbox which will be monitored daily.

This construction notice is being issued to make you aware of construction activities for the project listed above.
The project includes site improvements such as pavement milling, and, asphalt placement. The construction of this project is scheduled to begin its second phase on Friday, April 22nd, 2022.
We regret any temporary inconveniences you may experience during the construction. While every effort will be made to provide continuous automobile and pedestrian traffic during the construction, please be aware of any temporary parking restrictions, road/sidewalk closures or detours that may be posted.

Happy Townsend Founders Day! On April 3rd, 1885, the Town of Townsend was incorporated! At the March 23rd, 2022 Town Council Workshop Meeting, Town Council voted to approve Resolution 2022-005 A Resolution to Recognize Town of Townsend Day. Today and every day, we celebrate the founders of the Town of Townsend and commemorate the incorporation of our wonderful Town.

EMERGENCY SIRENS TEST- Tuesday, April 5, 2022
A test of the Salem/Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Stations Alert and Notification System will be conducted by the Delaware Emergency Management Agency and the Delaware State Police on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. The sirens should sound at around 7:20pm.
The Quarterly Siren Test involves a three-to five-minute sounding of the 37 sirens followed by a test message of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) on local radio stations. The sirens are located within 10 miles of the Salem/Hope Creek power plants in New Jersey, and are the same sirens used to alert the public in the event of an actual emergency at either the Salem or Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Stations. In such an emergency, the public would be alerted by the sirens to tune radios to one of the local EAS stations for important emergency instructions.
