Waste Industries has scheduled Townsend’s Christmas Tree Pick-up for Monday, January 8, 2018. Please leave clean trees with no bags curbside.
On Saturday – January 6th from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm – trees can be left @ the park & ride at Rt. 13 and Pine Tree Corner Road – free of charge – Sponsored by our local Representatives.

“Let Your Lights Shine” Holiday Light Contest
Announcing ” Let Your Lights Shine ” Townsend’s 1st annual Holiday light contest.
Dress up your home and lets shine bright for the Holidays. 1st 2nd & 3rd prizes will be awarded for the best decorated homes located in the incorporated Town of Townsend. Judging will take place through December 25th. Winners will be announced on December 26th . Prizes will be given out January 3rd . Complaint Form
Complaints about barking dogs, the unsatisfactory condition of a neighboring property, drainage issues, ordinance violations and any other issues warranting the Town’s attention, may be addressed and tracked by submitting a Residential Complaint Form.
The form is always available on the Town’s website (under Information, Forms & Permits), and can be faxed or dropped off at Town Hall during normal business hours (8 am – 4pm) or left in the locked drop-box along the entrance driveway at any time.

Join the TOWN OF TOWNSEND in celebrating the HOLIDAY SEASON with a TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY and CHRISTMAS CAROLING Led by Immanuel United Methodist Church
AT THE TOWNSEND MUNICIPAL PARK on EDGAR ROAD
(ENTRANCE TO TOWNSEND VILLAGE)
On SUNDAY, DECEMBER 10TH AT 4:30 P.M.
Sing-along song sheets will be provided for those who may need a little help with the words, so just come out and join the fun by participating in this age-old tradition. Hot Chocolate, Cider and Cookies will be served.
To foster the spirit of “giving” during the Holiday Season, a collection box for the local food pantry, Our Daily Bread, will be on site for those wishing to contribute. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.
