In accordance with 29 Del. C. §10004(e)(1), notice is hereby given that the Townsend Town Council will hold an Emergency Meeting to address a situation requiring immediate action for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, or welfare.

Nature of the Emergency:
Due to the Town Hall heating system break down, resulting in Emergency Heat Only, the Council must convene promptly to authorize an emergency purchase.

Because this matter requires immediate action, the standard seven-day public notice could not be provided. Notice is being issued as soon as reasonably possible, consistent with Delaware FOIA.
