Winners will be announced at the January 2024 Town Council meeting. Judges decisions are final. No registration is Necessary! Just show us your lights! Date Posted: Saturday, November 11th, 2023The Town of Townsend feels Veterans should be honored and thanked for their service at any given time or place to recognize the sacrifices they have made and continue to make to serve our great Country and keep us free. On April 18th, 2009, via Resolution No. 09-02, the Town of Townsend declared that day of each year Townsend Veterans Recognition Day. Over the course of years the Town of Townsend has strived to recognize our Veterans by holding several events. In keeping with our commitment to honor our Veterans, the Town of Townsend held a supply drive to support the Veterans of The Brian Conley Veterans Resiliency Center and delivered the supplies to the center on Thursday, November 9th, 2023. We are also collecting letters and pictures to show our support for the Veterans at the Brian Conley Veteran Resiliency Center, in honor of Veterans Day. Donations, letters and pictures can be dropped off to Townsend Town Hall until November 8th, 2023.
