Planning Commission Members Needed
Date Posted: Wednesday, October 9th, 2019The Town of Townsend is seeking residents to serve as volunteers on the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission works with residents and is an advisory board to the Mayor and Council. The Commission oversees the comprehensive planning process, helping to determine aims and ambitions of our community, including reviewing land use, zoning, planning and development applications. The Planning Commission also is responsible to update and prepare a draft Comprehensive Plan for review by the residents, Mayor and Council. Specific information on the Planning Commission can be found at: https://townsend.delaware.gov/committees/ Members of the Planning Commission are appointed by the Mayor and Council. Members are expected to participate in monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of each month unless otherwise posted. Come share your knowledge and ideas to better our community.
