There is a collection bin inside of Townsend Town Hall at 141 Main St., Townsend, DE 19734. Thank you for your donations. DVSA is collecting the following food items: ANY nonperishable items! Canned Vegetables, Fruits, Bread, Rice, Dry Milk, Raisins, Snacks, Water Bottles, Bottled or Powdered Juices, Pasta, Pasta Sauce, Stuffing, Cereals, Dry Milk, Oatmeal, etc! Date Posted: Saturday, November 11th, 2023The Town of Townsend feels Veterans should be honored and thanked for their service at any given time or place to recognize the sacrifices they have made and continue to make to serve our great Country and keep us free. On April 18th, 2009, via Resolution No. 09-02, the Town of Townsend declared that day of each year Townsend Veterans Recognition Day. Over the course of years the Town of Townsend has strived to recognize our Veterans by holding several events. In keeping with our commitment to honor our Veterans, the Town of Townsend held a supply drive to support the Veterans of The Brian Conley Veterans Resiliency Center and delivered the supplies to the center on Thursday, November 9th, 2023.
