Delaware Weatherization Assistance Program

Weatherization Assistance is a free program that decreases energy costs for low-income families by making the home more energy efficient, while improving their comfort, health, and safety.              The U. S. Department of Energy and State sources provide grant funds to administer the program. The program is statewide ans operates throughout the year.  Catholic Charities, Inc. is the program administrator, working under contract to the State Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), Division of Energy and Climate.  Services typically include wall, attic, & foundation insulation, air leakage reduction, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, dryer venting, and attic ventilation.. Eligibility Income Guidelines for the free services range from $24,120 for a household of 1 to $82,640 for a household of 8.  For families with more than 8 persons, add $8,360 for each additional person.
