Announcing ” Let Your Lights Shine ” Townsend’s 1st annual Holiday light contest.
Dress up your home and lets shine bright for the Holidays. 1st 2nd & 3rd prizes will be awarded for the best decorated homes located in the incorporated Town of Townsend. Judging will take place through December 25th. Winners will be announced on December 26th . Prizes will be given out January 3rd . Complaints about barking dogs, the unsatisfactory condition of a neighboring property, drainage issues, ordinance violations and any other issues warranting the Town’s attention, may be addressed and tracked by submitting a Residential Complaint Form.
The form is always available on the Town’s website (under Information, Forms & Permits), and can be faxed or dropped off at Town Hall during normal business hours (8 am – 4pm) or left in the locked drop-box along the entrance driveway at any time.

Sing-along song sheets will be provided for those who may need a little help with the words, so just come out and join the fun by participating in this age-old tradition. Hot Chocolate, Cider and Cookies will be served.
To foster the spirit of “giving” during the Holiday Season, a collection box for the local food pantry, Our Daily Bread, will be on site for those wishing to contribute. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.

Trick or Treating will be observed in the Town of Townsend on Halloween, Tuesday, October 31st beginning after school and ending at 8:00 pm.
As always, a 10:00 pm curfew is in effect for all children 16 years of age and younger.
