Date Posted: Thursday, January 16th, 2025Townsend Police Building Bid Opening Date: January 15th, 2025 Submission Deadline: February 28th, 2025 Location of Submission: 141 Main Street, PO Box 223 Townsend, DE 19734 The Police Build project will be the engineering, drafting, design and construction of the new Police Station of Townsend. The direct contact person for any questions relating to this bid project is Julie Goodyear, Town Manager at 302-378-8082 or via email at jgoodyear@townsend.delaware.gov All bids are required to be sealed and identified on the outside refencing the bid as they will be kept sealed until the close of the bidding timeframe. Since we installed the Blessings Box Food Pantry in May of 2023, we have been able to help serve our Community and assist those in need. Tree collection is not an easy job but you can help: Please remove all lights and decorations. Cut down any trees over 6 feet tall. Tree bags are not allowed in the sleigh. 2025 Municipal Waste Service Guidelines
Date Posted: Thursday, January 2nd, 2025Residents are reminded of the following guidelines for trash, recycling, and yard waste collection. Please take special notice that only trash should be bagged; recycling and yard waste should not be bagged. Trash: Collected Monday’s on a weekly basis with recycling. The following is the delayed pick-up schedule due to the holiday: Memorial Day pick-up is 05/27/2025 Labor Day pick-up is 09/02/2025 Please place containers at the curb the night before or no later than 7 a.m. on your scheduled pickup day. Trash must be placed at the curb no earlier than 24 hours prior to scheduled trash pick-up. All trash containers must be removed from the sidewalk area no later than 24 hours after trash pick-up.
