School Closing Info from Appoquinimink School District

When bad weather is predicted, the Appoquinimink School District tracks national weather reports, confers with neighboring school districts and the Department of Transportation, and put drivers on the road to check the status of bus routes and area neighborhoods. We make a decision as early as possible – typically between 5:30-6:00 am – then begin communicating our status to parents and staff. If a delay or cancellation is needed, families with a student enrolled in the district will get a phone call and email message at the address on file for your family, and notices will be posted on our websites and Facebook.
